Lobsta

Moxie had friends over last weekend and they brought the cutest gifts - one of which is a rope lobster that she's obsessed with.

She likes to fetch it, wrastle with it and of course, snuggle too.

Gratuitous Cute Pics

This pup is just too damn cute and I have a few pics that are worthy of a short post.

As others have pointed out, she's quite the little dog model and is getting good at posing for pretty pictures. It also helps that I'm talking gibberish or making funny noises to accompany this practice.

So without further adieu, here's your daily cute.

New Bed

Someone got a new bed yesterday, as the previously one just wasn't a hit.

Retiring the fleece ball bed, we opted for a more classic style, which was well received and now a favorite.

Moxie was quick to hop in this new day bed and loves sleeping in it. In fact, she likes it so much, she tries to persuade us to let her spend the night following many late-night bathroom trips.

Early Mornings

I, typically a very long and deep sleeper, have changed patters with the advent of Moxie in our lives.

No longer am I going to bed ridiculously early, nor am I oversleeping or going into a "night night coma." It's actually quite nice.

Instead, I'm totally fine on less time asleep and am finding that I'm up quite early in the mornings. Often well before dawn.

While I could complain a bit, I'm enjoying this change for many reasons. One of which is to witness some gorgeous sun rises as of late.

Here are just a few:

The Whole World is Smiling

Among other cards, I received this adorable one from The Lady (my mom), which perfectly states what it's like for me to have a new pup.

Isn't that the truth!

Moxie Loves Basil

This little pup is oh so happy with a piece of basil in her mouth.

Another favorite thing is hopping on to the terrace, gently plucking a basil leaf and playing with it until nearly dissolved!

Here she is with a piece of basil in mouth.
From some Googling, I learned that basil is fine for dogs to eat (of course, I checked before permitting her to do this). In fact, it had some positive mood altering properties and can help with arthritis too (fortunately she's a young pup and we don't have to worry about that).

Here she is, grabbing a bit and having a ball.

And another one!

I love that she loves healthy, fun and pup-proved snacks (see what I did there? Hehe). Frozen carrots, celery and now basil.

Three Months Old Today

Miss Moxie is getting big, and today marks three months of her being on earth.

We've had her just a short three weeks and are absolutely in love. It's amazing what joy a little furry thing can bring.

She's growing so fast, making us laugh, and bringing out feelings I've never known.

How lucky are we?!
